The Mobile Food Pantry is available every second Monday of the month and is held at Casco United Methodist Church from 3pm – 4pm.
Hungry for Christ is a food distribution ministry. Thanks to the many connections we have made with food manufacturers, we are able to pick up perfectly edible food items which for some reason or another have been deemed unsalable by their customers. Those food items are then picked up with our 53 foot temperature controlled semi-truck and brought back to our warehouse to be safely stored in our warehouse according to federal safe food handling guidelines located in Hamilton, MI.
Through a variety of programs Hungry for Christ has in place, we distribute these food items previously picked up and stored to families in our area who need food. Hungry for Christ’s policy is “freely received, freely given”, we are intent in making sure that the organizations and families who receive from us also freely distribute the food to those they serve.
God has continually blessed Hungry for Christ on a daily basis and we seek to serve Him by being His hands and feet by serving those in need. We strive to display a servant’s attitude as we assist those in our area that may need a helping hand from time to time. We also strive to serve everyone that comes to Hungry for Christ, be it as a volunteer, food pantry partner or family coming to receive, spiritually as well as physically, following the example of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
